Any available Scout should arrive at Salem UMC at 6PM to help spread mulch and sand on the preschool's playground. This counts as a service project! Wear your Class Bs; it's Tenderfoot requirement night once the meeting begins, too.
Don't miss the April 30 meeting. YOU will be choosing your patrols. Be sure to buddy up with another Scout to make sure you've got at least one friend in your new patrol. Two new Scouts per patrol, and these will be both your camp patrols and your patrols for next school year.
While we think all Scouts should attend all the Eagle Courts of Honor for Troop 344 members, this one's extra special. Your SPL and one of your ASPLs are Eagles! Sunday, April 21, here at Salem. 1:15 in Uniform, so you can help set up and make this event extra special for Zack Zimmer, Corey McCoy, and the Scout all you second-years-and-older ought to know, the cool Evan Lynch.
Be sure to sign up for an easy and enjoyable hour or two of community service. Scouting For Food will take place on April 13, at T-Bones plaza. Please sign up. Don't show up unannounced; let's be gracious to our hosts!
Meet Friday, April 5 at Salem United Methodist. We'll be heading down to Camp Annawanna for a weekend of training our new Scouts (and new Scouters, too!). Departure time is 6:30, so be there in plenty of time to load your gear into the Troop trailer, find a driver, and not hold us up. Call Dr. Dan for any last-minute changes.
We've scheduled OA elections for February 26, and we need at least 50% of the Troop present so voting can take place. Be sure to turn out and help elect your fellow Scouts to this prestigious service organization.
